Josh had a good night and is doing well today. He has been sitting up and they have started giving him full liquids so he is waiting for his first milk shake.
They are weening him off of his IV meds and starting him on oral medications. When he he is off all of his IV's they can move him out of PICU. They expect he will need to stay here at BSA until next weekend at least.
Thank you for your continued prayers.
Hey there Waltons :) The kids and I have been following your blog for a few weeks now since Punki posted the link. We have been praying for you all each day. I thought about you this morning during our church service. The message was about Hagar and her God that "sees her". Even through the tough times he sees you and is walking with you. Stand strong on His promise. He always delivers. :) Rejoicing that Josh is making improvements and that you are able to rest. We will continue to pray. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Lisa Uhlack and kids
ReplyDeleteWe just recently heard about what has been happening with Josh. I am sure that the ups and downs can be hard to roll with. I wish we lived closer and could help out physically, wherever needed. Thank you for your posts allowing us this glimpse into your lives at such a difficult time. You are being kept in our prayers.

ReplyDeleteOur precious friends: As we have now been caught up on the last few weeks of what is going on with Josh... we can't help but fight the tears back. Like Brian said on one of the posts, I can't imagine having to watch my child go through all of this. And your faith and your strength is such a testimony to so many people. I know my parents read through the blog this last week and just cried and cried; because of my dad going through a somewhat similar battle as Josh, his heart is absolutely breaking to know and watch a precious child have to endure such a treacherous battle. I think its one thing to have to battle it yourself, but to watch a young man have to go through this and his family have to sit aside and watch feeling helpless. It's hard. It's so hard. Like some of the things you have written Brian, just speaks to my heart in ways that I am scared to express. Thanks for being bold and saying whats on your heart. I hate the feeling you expressed of watching your loved one, feeling like they're slipping through your fingers; yet the verses that the Lord continually gives to you and I know He gives to me..... that is what we can stand on. The unknown is scary, but like you said... we can always rely on his love... and that it is faithful and never failing nor ending. We love you guys and continue to pray healing over Josh!!!! Keep loving on each other through this; never stop holding each other. I miss my dad's embrace... soak in every moment. Love you, Tiff, Cody, Koda and Kenai
