The Journey Begins

The Dr told us that Josh has Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. We are just starting to find out what that means. It is a form of cancer in the blood and bone marrow that effects the production of blood cells, especially the white cells that fight infection.

Because of Josh's age he will be examined by a pediatric oncologist (kids cancer dr). The next week will be focused on finding a treatment center that has a program to treat his specific type of leukemia. We are still waiting for some test results that will give more specific about the subtype.

Josh is taking the news better than mom and dad. The doctor told us that the treatment process is more of a marathon than a sprint, but many decisions need to be made based on information that we will start to gather.

Please be praying that there is a treatment program close by.

Above all, we know that we have a big God who is faithful and desires to show the world His faithfulness through His children.
